Gloucestershire Constabulary is working with Nexus staff to map their overarching HE needs which will lead to the development of a suite of flexible and work based programmes for their workforce. The starting point is the development of the Foundation Degree in Community Engagement and Governance.
"Gloucestershire Constabulary already works collaboratively with further and higher education establishments across the county. The University and colleagues are providing first class support in enabling us to professionalise our workforce.
Project Nexus offers the opportunity to work even more closely, ensuring our workforce can acquire nationally recognised qualifications relevant to their roles to further enhance our ability to provide the best possible policing services to the people of Gloucestershire."
Graham Ramsay, Head of Staff Development
“At the University of Gloucestershire we see ourselves very much as the University for Gloucestershire, endeavouring, where we can, to bring our expertise to respond to the workforce development needs and aspirations of employers in the county. Our collaboration with the Constabulary has resulted in the development of a distinctive Foundation degree focused on effective multi-agency partnership working aimed towards the pursuit of engaged and sustainable communities.”
